Mitchell abrasive cord with myriad uses for luthiers, including smoothing string notches in nuts and metal saddles, deburring metals and plastics, cleaning threads, smoothing holes and refining fine details when cutting inlay and marquetry.
Each spool of Mitchell's Abrasive Cord is 12 feet long (3.66m).
Available in four thicknesses, the #55S and #60S are coated in a silicon carbide, while the #52 and #54 are an aluminium oxide abrasive.
