GUITAR SHIELDING PAINT

The paint is packed in 30ml (approx. 1 fl oz) bottles. One bottle is enough for 2 coats on a typical Strat-type guitar.

When properly applied to the pickup and control cavities this paint will significantly reduce hum and noise from ANY un-shielded electric guitar or bass. Mains hum and buzz from lighting dimmers will be greatly attenuated, letting you hear low-level harmonics and detail that were previously masked by the noise. Even guitars with humbucking pickups may have un-shielded wiring, pots and switches, so may benefit from this paint treatment. The outward appearance of the guitar is unchanged. The paint is specially formulated to be effective at audio frequencies. Many other shielding paints are designed to combat radio frequency interference (mobile phones etc.) and aren't very effective at audio frequencies.  This paint can also be used for EMI / RFI shielding of rigid plastic equipment cases.

Please Note: All guitars are different. The degree of noise reduction you obtain from fitting this kit will depend on several factors, e.g. pickup type, internal wiring layout, and any shielding already fitted (existing shielding paint may not be obvious), so please check your guitar before buying, and if in doubt contact us for advice.
